How Could You Fail and Succeed At The Same Time?

I know a lot of people online saw this a while ago. Thought I would share it here.

Everybody’s MySpace friend Tom weighed in on the Instagram debacle that occurred prior to Christmas. When someone tried to discredit the value of his input in the technology space, Tom shows no reservations in his less-than-140-character response:

MySpace Tom Tweet

How about that for some perspective?

I would call MySpace a failed venture (before the recent update) but seeing this made me second guess the failure of Tom himself.

What would you say? Was Tom a success or failure? Or both?

Only Tom make that call and it seems he spoke loud and clear (and got to clown on somebody that passed judgement on him). Financially, I think .58 Billion is a great indication of fiscal success, right? And if Tom is happy with his wealth, then we should label him a success!

MO that I try to go by: if one doesn’t give up in the process (which is mostly trial, error, risk, reward, blood, sweat, tears, detours, no manual)…then one can never be a failure.

    –my two cents

p.s. my disqus is back up. What a difference one letter makes in a handle!

p.p.s. the dude playing the dude, disguised as the dude has to respond to the blog about a blog with regards to the blog :)
